Jaina and Zekk became the most unlikely of friends - a friendship that managed to survive almost anything - Dark Jedi, betrayals, bounty hunters, Anja Gallandro - but not the Yuuzhan Vong. Or the distance it put between them. They had the potential to become so much more than best friends - if the galaxy wide invasion of that fanatical alien race hadn't occurred.

But it did. And the easy comradeship between the two Jedi was shattered like so many lives and worlds. Jaina moved on with her life, and so did Zekk - in opposite directions, completely without the other. Yet, in the hearts of their fans - their fanfic writers and shippers - the relationship will live on. Friends, lovers, whatever you want, it's clear that once upon a peaceful galaxy, something was there between them. And who knows - maybe at some point in the future, it'll come back.

Despite everything and everyone, just remember: Zekk will always be the first green eyed dark haired boy toy in Jaina Solo's orbit. Something's got to be said for that.
